Method & limitations

Two-point linear interpolation along the photographed scale axis. No symbol decoding, OCR, lens correction or perspective rectification in this version. Assisted mode detects red pointer candidates from pixels; tick candidates can include text strokes and require checking. Prefer near-overhead photos, and calibrate each dimension locally. Do not use an EU/UK/US shoe-size scale as a millimetre scale.

The example contains manually selected reference points from the supplied photo; it is not automatic detection. Length and width must be read from the appropriate physical scales. Measuring feet separately avoids assuming a shared carriage provides independent lengths.

Displayed decimals are numerical resolution, not validated accuracy. FootFit is independent of Sidas; no fitting algorithm or product database is connected.
